For people who are not into the Realme phones are requested to read the full article so that you can realize the main potential of Realme Phones. Also, fun fact alert! However, Realme is a sister concern of Oppo and Vivo. So, they have some reputations to maintain in the current market.
Preliminary
You guys are aware of the fact that before making a statement about a particular phone, I tend to go through the key aspects and also try to push the phone to its limit in order to realize the true potential of the phone. Therefore, the categories which we will be covering today are shown as follows:
- Design
- Display
- Performance
- Camera
- Battery
- Sensors and Other Features
- Water Resistance
Before moving on to the segments, I would like to inform you that the X series of Realme is the flagship like series. But to compete in the market, the price range has to be within the range of the commoners. To this date, this phone will cost you around 459 USD to 479 USD prior to the different variants available in the market. We will be judging every criterion according to the phone’s price tag. So, can the Realme X3 live up to the value for money situation, or will it perish in the long run? Similarly, we are here to find out. I would request all of you guys to stick with us till the very end. I bet you will enjoy this.
So, let us move on to the first segment, and that is the design of the Realme X3.
Design of the Realme X3: Glass Body but Plastic Frame?!
When we talk about the build quality of a phone, the first concern of ours is the structural orientation of the program. This phone has a glass front and back. But the framing is made out of plastic. However, you cannot really tell the difference unless you touch it. But a phone with a price tag close to 500 bucks should come with an aluminum framing. This is some sort of upset, to be honest. But the loos and the design does make up for it. The backside is of glass, as I have told you earlier. It is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5. So, the backside is well protected. As for the front, it is, of course, the screen. So, we will talk about in detail in the next segment.
Now let us come down to the dimensions. Firstly, This phone comes with a length of 6.45 inches. This is just about the trending size of a typical smartphone. As well as the width is concerned, the phone comes with a width of 2.98 inches. Similarly, It is a wide phone, no denying that. So, it might be hard to operate singlehandedly if you are a person with small fingers like me. This phone has a thickness of 0.35 inches. It is pretty slim comparing to the market. But not the slimmest of them all.
Weight of the phone
Firstly, the weight of the phone is almost 202 grams. I know, despite providing a frame made out of plastic, this phone is quite heavier than usual. But once you put this into regular use, you will be getting used to it. Moving on further, there are some exciting color options available in the market, two to be exact. So, the first one is the Arctic White, and the latter is the Glacier Blue.
The attributes are not that out of the box. However, the power button is on the right side, and the volume rocker is on the left. In addition, the backside is holding the rear camera module. So, what seems that the fingerprint scanner is an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Overall the design is pretty solid, visually. But some improvements could have been executed like they could have included a metal framing. But nonetheless, this phone has some character to it and is attracting some crowds towards it.
Now let us talk about the display if the Realme X3.

Display of the Realme X3: IPS LCD in 2020?
This time I am pretty much shocked to see the IPS LCD screen on the phone. Phones which are worth 250 USD are offering AMOLED panels, and this time, they have put up an IPS Display in a 470 dollar phone. That is unfortunate. But the screen is not bad, frankly speaking. It is a full high definition screen.
So, you will experience a resolution of 1080 into 2400 pixels. The original aspect ratio is 20:9, thanks to the dual-camera punch hole in the top left corner. For instance, the screen to body ratio is almost 84.7 percent. The screen is of 6.6 inches. So, the viewing experience will be pretty solid, because it has a better resolution and a notch that surprisingly don’t bother.
But one personal thing which I have experienced that when you use the phone in landscape mode or watching YouTube, then the notch comes in the way of your content. This is a general flaw that all the notch users out their will have to deal with, so I am taking nothing away from Realme.
Overall the phone has a decent display. But personally, I am a bit upset again for the panel. However, I was expecting a nice and crisp AMOLED screen, and all Realme produced is the IPS LCD. So, we will have to live with it anyways.
So, let us move on to the most anticipated section of the mine, which is the performance of the Realme X3.
Performance of the Realme X3: Snapdragon 855+!!!
The performance of a particular smartphone is evaluated by the collaboration between the software unit and the hardware unit. In the Realme X3, we will be going through both the section and try to evaluate the hidden agenda behind them. So, first up, we will be looking into the Software Unit.

Software Unit of the Realme X3
The software Unit contains two-part, the Operating System, and the User Interface. Different companies come up with different User Interface that suits their products very well. The Operating System is Android in this case.
In this paragraph, the Realme X3 comes with the latest Android 10. It is the newest edition of Android with loads of new features. This OS is currently the fastest and user friendly in all aspects. On the other hand, Realme has provided a signature interface this time. Usually, they opted for the Color OS, but this time the Realme X3 is equipped with the Realme UI.
By the looks of it, the UI is pretty much optimized. There were some issues and bugs, but the recent update eliminates all of then substantially. The UI is giving the Android ten a solid compliment by far, and the collaboration between them is pretty good.
Now let us see what the Realme X3 hides under the hood.
Hardware Unit of the Realme X3
This time Realme is satisfying a hell lot. The phone comes with the world’s fastest chipset for Android, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+. Similarly, this is a 7 Nanometer Octa-Core chipset. That means this comes with eight cores; Kryo 485 cores. So, the first core is clocked at 2.96 GHz. Above all, the latter three are clocked at 2.42 GHz. And the remaining four are clocked at 1.78 GHz. The Graphics Processing Unit is the latest Adreno 640. This is unique because it has 700 MHz frequency for buttery smooth performance.
The RAM has two variants. For instance, the first one is the essential 6 GB variant, and the other is the top of the line 8 GB variant. Both options come with 128 GB of internal storage. There is no additional SD Card Slot. So, you will not be able to expand the storage. This might be an issue for heavy users.
Overall I am fully satisfied with the performance of the Realme X3. And when I say I am satisfied, that means I have pushed the phone to its limit. After a bunch of tests, this phone stood strong, and that impressed me so far.
Now let us move on to the next segment, which might be attractive to a set of consumers. Consumers who have an interest in photography might enjoy this part. The following section is the Camera of Realme X3.

The camera of the Realme X3
Firstly, the camera of the Realme X3 is pretty promising. In other words, the rear camera is a quad camera setup. After that, the primary camera is a wide-angle camera of 64 Mega Pixel. Also, the aperture count of this camera is of f/1.8. Similarly, this camera is a 26 mm wide-angle camera equipped with PDAF sensors. So, the next camera is a telephoto camera of 12 Mega Pixels.
Secondly, the camera has a 51 mm diameter and is capable of zooming up to 2X optical zoom. However, the aperture count of the telephoto camera is of f/2.5. So, the third camera is an 8 Megapixel traditional Ultra-Wide camera. So, It has a distortion rate of 119 degrees, and the aperture count of this camera is of f/2.3. The last camera is a macro camera that is capable of shooting things in miniature sizes. Also, this is of 2 Mega Pixels. So, the aperture count of the macro camera is of f/2.47.
Selfie Camera
Firstly, the selfie camera is a dual-camera setup, which is a dope tech in the punch hole cut out. The main camera is yet another 26 mm wide-angle camera of 16 Mega Pixel. After that, the aperture count of the camera is of f/2.0. So, the auxiliary camera is a 15-degree ultra-wide camera of 8 Mega Pixels. After that, it has an aperture count of f/2.2.
In addition, the picture turned out to be pretty great in the bright light. In other words, the detailing is smooth, and the noise reduction is noteworthy. The pictures in night mode is a bit soft but can be of great use if it is in the right hands. However, the selfies turned out to be pretty high. So, the ultra-wide camera is an excellent addition to the front-facing camera module.
Firstly, the videography is excellent and can be done at a resolution of 4k in a frame rate of 60 frames per second. But to avail the gyro EIS, we need to downgrade the resolution to 1080p. The cool feature is that the front-facing cameras also can shoo with the image stabilization feature.
Overall, I am satisfied with the cameras. So, the production of the images and the videos are pretty solid and on point—a big thumbs up to Realme for that.
Now let us move on to the power management of the Realme X3.
The battery of the Realme X3
Firstly, the battery is of 4200 mAh, and it is non-removable. So, what is exciting about the battery unit is that it is capable of fast charging 30 Watts. In addition, as per the advertised campaign, this phone can charge from zero to full only in 55 minutes. Moreover, I have personally counted a time range of 57 minutes, which is testifying the campaign. So, I am impressed with the battery consumption rate. In addition, the Realme OS has done a pretty good job in apps optimizations.
Sensors and Other Features
Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Light, Fingerprint (In-Display; Optical)
Water Resistance
None to be exact.
