The top 3 phones on the chart have a total of almost 100 million, while iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR shipped more than 16 million each. The best-selling report also shows that the 2017 Apple flagship smartphones got the highest market share than the successors in the global sales ranking.
In China, the list is flooded with Chinese phones – eight out of the ten phones on the list are Chinese. The remaining two are iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus.

Interestingly enough, there are no Huawei smartphones in any of the charts. The second biggest smartphone manufacturer is flooding the market so much that users have an abundance of options to choose from. Counterpoint clarified, that the best-selling phone was the Huawei P20 Lite with over 13 million units, but that wasn’t enough to make any of the Top 10 lists.
