Tecno Spark 3 and Spark 3 Pro full specifications and price in Nigeria

The Tecno Mobile released two budget Android smartphones called Spark 3 (KB7) and Spark 3 Pro (KB8) a few months ago at an event that was held in Lagos. The two phones are the latest addition to the Youth-focus Spark series and also the upgraded versions of the Tecno Spark 2 and Spark 2 Pro that was released last year. The devices feature sleek design, a notched Super FULLVIEW display, and good battery capacity suitable for students that need a smartphone with a long-lasting battery. The standard Spark 3 is almost similar to the Spark 3 Pro except for the slight difference in chipset and storage. Let’s check out the full specifications and the prices in Nigeria.

Design and Display

To begin with, when you take a closer look at the Tecno Spark 3 and Spark 3 Pro, you will observe that the physical design is almost similar. Both smartphones are built with plastic material, well-crafted, with curved edges which give the phones attractive look.  The new smartphones feature a U-notch design which houses the selfie camera and the flash. On top of the display is the earpiece port. The volume rocker and the power button are sited on the right-hand side of the phones.

Both smartphones feature the same FULLVIEW 6.2-inch IPS HD+ display which delivers 19.9 aspect ratio. Also, the screen resolution for both smartphones is 720 x 1520 pixels.

Camera and Battery

In terms of camera configurations, the Tecno Spark 3 (1GB RAM model) comes with a single rear AI-powered 13MP camera, while the 2GB RAM model features a dual rear 13MP + 2MP camera for excellent photo shots. On the front, there is an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. Tecno Spark 3 Pro, on the other hand, rocks a dual 13MP + 2MP on the rear side, while the front features an 8MP camera for selfies. The cameras on both Android smartphones also come with some other interesting features that help to deliver a perfect image such as Autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama.

Battery-wise, both devices are powered by the same 3,500mAh battery which offers a long-lasting power.

Another department where the two phones differ apart from the memory size is in the chipset. The lower version of Tecno Spark 3(1GB) comes loaded with MediaTek MT6580 while the 2GB version is powered by MediaTek Helio A22 (MT6761), paired with 16GB of Internal storage. Furthermore, the lower version runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) while the higher variant works well with Android 9.0 Pie. The internal storage can also be upgraded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

Tecno Spark 3 Pro, on the other hand, works well with Helio A22 chipset, driven by the Quad-core 2.0GHz Cortex A53. It is more advanced with less lagging when running Apps to compare to the chipset that comes with Spark 3 (1GB). The chip is paired with a 2GB RAM and a 32GB internal space that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.
